Quinta del Toro

Garcia, Nuevo León, Mexico

Situated on the foot of the mountain called Sierra del Fraile, besides the highway named Camino a Icamole, in company of the hot daytime wind, the coldness of the night breeze, and the constant sunlight which drives from south to west, the project stands against the desert conditions in its way to make the user’s experience in a more enjoyable and different way.

Consisting in form of three main blocks standing along the dry lands besides the highway, the project is divided in private and public areas. The first and second blocks are the public areas, kitchen, living room, bar, pool and other services, to be rent for special events at any time, as a particular request. The third block consist on private spaces, such as the family room and bedrooms, separated from the public blocks, to be used only by the owners, while social gatherings are taking place on the first and second blocks. The placement of each block depends on their views to the mountain and their need of avoiding the southern and western sunlight.
